Cotton is the most versatile and common fabric out there, perfect for layering or milder winter climates. Cotton is breathable, easy to care for, and worn comfortably from morning to night.

4. Synthetic blends

A lot of sweaters are oversized or formless. Create a more flattering silhouette by cinching your waist with a belt for a flattering hourglass shape. Belting works particularly well for sweater dresses that would otherwise look too boxy and shapeless.
